The pond at the feet of Mother of Divine Mercy was built according to the specific instruction of Holy Mother with the intention of storing water for drinking and bathing, for those visiting Shrine. The water in the pond was allowed to be used by those visiting the Shrine, after it has been kept in the pond for one hour after filling. Chippy was shown the vision of Heavenly light illuminating the water in the pond and Precious Blood from the hands of Jesus Christ following into it. Holy Mother revealed to the family of Chippy that sprinkling the holy water in houses and institutions will give a divine protection and many people receive this blessing by sprinkling the holy water. This channel of Divine Mercy of using the holy water for drinking and bathing is opened up with the aim of ensuring physical, mental and spiritual healings for those who have been sailing through troubled waters with different types of sufferings of life without any relief. People with many obstacles in life, have witnessed miraculous involvment of Mother of Divine Mercy, when trusting and praying in Divine Mercy Shrine.
മാതാവ് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ട് വ്യക്തമായ നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകിയ തിപ്രകാരമാണ് മാതാവിന്റെ കാൽചുവട്ടിൽ കുളം നിർമ്മിച്ചതും അവിടെ വെള്ളം നിറയ്ക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തത്‌. കുളത്തിൽ വെള്ളം നിറച്ചതിന്ശേഷം ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ കഴിഞ്ഞ് വെള്ളം ആളുകൾക്ക് കുടിക്കാനും കുളിക്കാനും കൊടുക്കാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. മാതാവിൻ്റെ കാൽചുവട്ടിലെ ജലത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രകാശവും കൈവിരിച്ചു നിന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഈശോയുടെ രൂപത്തിലെ കൈകളിൽ നിന്ന് രക്തവും പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നതായി ചിപ്പിക്ക് കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു. വീടുകളിലും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും ഈ വിശുദ്ധജലം തളിക്കുന്നത് അനുഗ്രഹപ്രദമായിരിക്കും എന്ന് ചിപ്പിയുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളോട് മാതാവ് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. അതിൻപ്രകാരം പലരും ഈ സംരക്ഷണം സ്വീകരിച്ചുപോരുന്നു. ഈ വിശുദ്ധജലം കുടിക്കാനും കുളിക്കാനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതുവഴി ആത്മീയവും ശാരീരികവും മാനസികവുമായ സൗഖ്യങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടാണ് ദൈവകരുണയുടെ ഈ ചാല് ഷ്റൈനിൽ ദൈവജനത്തിനായി തുറന്നുകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നതുവഴി മാതാവ് അത്ഭുതകരമായി തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഇടപെടുന്നതായും, പലതരത്തിലുള്ള തടസ്സങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് ജീവിതത്തിൽ ആശ്വാസം കിട്ടാതെ വലയുന്നവർക്ക് ആ തടസ്സങ്ങൾ മാറിക്കിട്ടുന്നതായും അനേകർ സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
Holy Mother allowed visitors in the Grotto from 2003 onwards, even before the grotto was handed over to the Eparchy of Kothamangalam in 2006. In preparation for allowing the visitors to the Grotto, Chippy's family was asked to recite 1000 rosaries and when finished they were asked to get 250 rosaries, which were equivalent to 250 full rosaries recited by the family. These rosaries were put on the folded hands of the statue of Mother of Divine Mercy. Holy Mother then said to Chippy and her family “I have come not for you alone, but for the whole world. From today onwards the Grotto shall be opened for the public". Thus on November 28th 2003 the Grotto was opened up for the public for praying. The rosaries put on the hands of the Holy Mother was then given to the visitors of the Grotto, free of cost to wear on their neck. According to the instruction given by Holy Mother this practice of giving rosaries put on the hands of the statue of the Holy Mother to people visiting the Shrine is continued even now. Many people offer rosaries in the Shrine for favours received. There are very many testimonies about receiving special divine protection, as well as getting deliverence from physical, mental and diabolic torments by wearing this rosaries. This is one of the spiritual channels revealed by Mother of Divine Mercy for receiving Divine Mercy.
ഗ്രോട്ടോ രൂപതയ്ക്ക് കൈമാറുന്നിന് മുമ്പ് 2003 മുതൽ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് വന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവാനായി തുറന്ന് കൊടുക്കു വാൻ മാതാവ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. അതിന് മുന്നോടിയായി ആയിരം കൊന്ത കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളോട് ചൊല്ലാനും, ചൊല്ലി പൂർത്തീകരിച്ച പ്പോൾ 250 കൊന്ത വാങ്ങി മാതാവിന്റെ കൈകളിൽ ഇടാനും നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു. മാതാവിൻ്റെ നിർദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം അന്നുതൊട്ട് ഗ്രോട്ടോ സന്ദർശിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തികൾക്ക് കഴുത്തിൽ ധരിക്കാനായി മാതാ വിന്റെ കൈകളിൽ ചാർത്തിയ കൊന്ത സൗജന്യമായി നൽകിപോ രുന്നു. അതുപോലെതന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു നന്ദിയായും ആളു കൾ കൊന്തകൾവാങ്ങി മാതാവിനു സമർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്. മാതാവിന്റെ കൈയ്യിലിട്ട കൊന്തകൾ ധരിക്കുന്നതുവഴി വളരെയ ധികം ദൈവിക സംരക്ഷണം ലഭിക്കുന്നതായും ശാരീരികവും മാന സികവും പൈശാചികവുമായ പീഢകളിൽ നിന്നു മോചനം ലഭിക്കു ന്നതായും ധാരാളംപേർ സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. ദൈവകരുണലഭി ക്കുവാനായി മാതാവ് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഒരു മാർഗ്ഗമാണിത്.
Garlanding the Divine Mercy Picture on every fridays started at the request of Holy Mother and has now became a popular piety in the Shrine. People offer this flower garland as a token of thanks giving for favors received and to receive blessings. Cooked sweet rice offering (Pachor Nercha) is distributed after Divine Mercy Novena on Fridays and on the two feast days of the Shrine. This piety is also continued as a thanks giving practice and for receiving blessings.
ദൈവകരുണയുടെ ഈശോയുടെ രൂപത്തിൽ വലിയ പൂമാല എല്ലാ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചകളിലും ഇടണമെന്ന് മാതാവ് ആവശ്യ പ്പെട്ടതനുസരിച്ച് അത് ഇന്നും തുടർന്ന് പോരുന്നു. ആളുകൾ നിയോഗ പൂർത്തീകരണത്തിന് നന്ദിയായും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ലഭി ക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടിയും നേർച്ചയായും വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ചകളിൽ പൂമാല സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്യുന്നു. വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ചകളിൽ നൊവേ നക്ക് ശേഷവും ഷ്റൈനിലെ തിരുനാളുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞും പാച്ചോർ നേർച്ച നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ലഭിച്ച അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് നന്ദിയും തങ്ങ ളുടെ നിയോഗങ്ങൾ സാധിച്ചു കിട്ടുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടിയാണ് സാധാര ണമായി പാച്ചോർ നേർച്ച ആളുകൾ നടത്തുന്നത്.
Lighting candles is one of the most important piety practiced in the Shrine. This is done mainly for surrendering the family members - living and dead - into the Divine Heart of Jesus, the Ocean of Mercy, by the merits of the atonement made by Jesus Christ for the sins of the world, in His Passion Death and Resurrection and through the mediation of the Mother of Divine Mercy. Similarly this dedication to Divine Mercy by lighting candles can be done for other needs and for matters which needs divine protection like house, household things, vehicles, jobs, land and other properties, travel and also for sickness and tribulations of life. Lighting candles in the Shrine is not just an offering to God but a prayer of entrustment of our needs and persons that intends to be dedicated to the Divine Mercy. Holy Mother said that needs entrusted and persons surrendered to Divine Mercy by lighting candles in the Shrine are accepted before the Father in Heaven. She has promised that those who visit the Shrine and pray trusting in Divine Mercy will be wrapped up in the veil of the Mercy of God. As the prayers person living in sin are not received before the Throne of God, a repentant Sacramental Confession has to be made before praying for the needs and putting petitions in the Shrine by lighting candles. This Shrine is not just a Church with the presence of the Trinitarian God in the Eucharist, but a place where the Glory of Divine Mercy and the continued intercession of Mother Divine Mercy are promised. So those who visit the Shrine are asked to bring up their pains and sufferings and their needs before the Mother of Divine Mercy, as if they are talking to another person. Spending time in silent prayer in the Shrine is a common practice for physical, mental and spiritual healing and for getting release from diabolic bondages. The healings received from multitude of illnesses and mental agonies along with the spiritual conversions taking place in the Shrine are strong witnesses of the active intervention of Holy Mother in the Shrine. The piety of walking on knees around of pond of Holy Mother was started years back and this dates back to Chippy's Plus Two examination. When Chippy's father John asked Holy Mother for the favour of getting good marks for the examination, She told John to recite the Divine Mercy chaplet with this intention and walk on the knees around the pond in the Shrine. Chippy's father obeyed the message and his daughter passed the examination with good marks. Hearing this news, this practice of walking on the knees around the pond of Mother of Divine Mercy soon became popular. Walking on the knees around the pond starts first by submitting the prayer intention in front of Mother of Divine Mercy, and going on to the right side of pond by praying the marian rosary or divine mercy rosary. The person comes on to the front of the Holy Eucharist in the Tabernacle with adoration and further on, the person walks on to the Divine Mercy picture and submits the prayer intention. As the person move on, he bows in front of the relics of Pope John Paul II the mediator of Divine Mercy and St. Faustina the apostle of Divine Mercy placed on either side of the Crucifix, asking their intercession. Then the person goes around the statue of St. Mary Magdalene, the first witness of Divine Mercy, to pass in front of the statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched hands to get His blessings and finally comes over to the Mother of Divine Mercy who intercedes with Her Son for Her children and thus finishes one round of walking on knees around the pond.
നൂറുകണക്കിനു ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ദിവസവും മാതാവിന്റെ കാൽച്ചുവട്ടിലെ കുളത്തിനുചുറ്റും മുട്ടിന്മേൽ ഇഴഞ്ഞ് പ്രാർത്ഥി ക്കുന്ന ഭക്താഭ്യാസം ആരംഭിച്ചത് വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപാണ്. ചിപ്പി പ്ലസ് ടു പരീക്ഷയിൽ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ജയിക്കുവാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യണം എന്ന് ചിപ്പിയുടെ പിതാവ് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഈ നിയോഗം സമർപ്പിച്ചു മുട്ടിന്മേൽ ഇഴഞ്ഞു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ചിപ്പി യുടെ പിതാവ് ജോൺ അതിൻപ്രകാരം ചിപ്പിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥി ക്കുകയും മകൾ നല്ല മാർക്കോടെ പ്ലസ്‌ടു പാസ്സാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതുകേട്ടറിഞ്ഞ ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ സ്വയം ആരംഭിച്ച ഭക്താഭ്യാസമാണ് . തങ്ങളുടെ നിയോഗങ്ങൾ സമർപ്പിച്ച്, കരുണയുടെ ജപമാ ലയോ മാതാവിൻ്റെ ജപമാലയോ ചൊല്ലി കുളത്തിനുചുറ്റും മുട്ടിന്മേൽ ഇഴഞ്ഞു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നത് സർവ്വസാധാരണമാണ്. മാതാവിൻ്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിയോഗം സമർപ്പിച്ചതിനു ശേഷമാണ് മുട്ടി ന്മേൽ ഇഴയൽ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. വലതുവശത്തേക്ക് നീന്തി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തി സക്രാരിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ഈശോയെ കുമ്പിട്ട് ആചാരം ചെയ്‌ത്‌ ആരാധിച്ചതിനുശേഷം, മുന്നോട്ട് ഇഴഞ്ഞ് കരുണയുടെ ഈശോയുടെ വലിയ രൂപത്തിനു മുമ്പിൽ വന്ന് നിയോഗം പറഞ്ഞേൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് മുന്നോട്ട് ഇഴഞ്ഞ് പോകുമ്പോൾ ക്രൂശിത രൂപത്തിന് ഇരുവശങ്ങളിലായി സ്ഥാപിച്ചി രിക്കുന്ന ദൈവകരുണയുടെ മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥനായ വിശുദ്ധ ജോൺപോൾ പാപ്പയുടെയും ദൈവകരുണയുടെ അപ്പസ്തോലയായ വിശുദ്ധ ഫൗസ്റ്റീനയുടെയും തിരുശേഷിപ്പുകൾ വണങ്ങി അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യ സ്ഥസഹായം അപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും, കരുണയുടെ ആദ്യ ദൃക്സാ ക്ഷിയായി തിരുസഭ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധ മഗ്ദ‌ലന മറിയ ത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയെ ചുറ്റി, തൻ്റെ ജനത്തെ കൈവിരിച്ചു നിന്ന് അനു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഉത്ഥിതനായ ഈശോയുടെ മുമ്പിലൂടെ വന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ച് തന്റെറെ മക്കൾക്കുവേണ്ടി കൈകൂപ്പി നിന്ന് മാദ്ധ്യസ്ഥം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ദൈവകരുണയുടെ മാതാവിൻ്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വരു മ്പോൾ, മുട്ടിന്മേൽ ഇഴച്ചിൽ ഒരു വട്ടം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
Holy Mother revealed that coming to the Shrine and praying once a week for nine days especially by attending the Divine Mercy Novena is a means of getting engulfed in Divine Mercy. The Novena was started in the Shrine at the request of Holy Mother. The promise of Jesus that "by this Novena, I will grant every possible grace to souls" (Diary 796) is experienced by each and every person who attends the Novena which is revealed through their witnesses. Divine Mercy Novena is conducted everyday morning after the Holy Mass and after the three Holy Masses on Saturdays, as well as after the seven Holy Masses celebrated on Fridays.
ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഒന്നുവച്ച് ഒൻപതു ദിവസം ഷ്റൈനിൽ വന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നത് അനുഗ്രഹപ്രദമാണെന്ന് മാതാവ് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി യിരിക്കുന്നു. മാതാവ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതനുസരിച്ചാണ് ഒൻപതു ദിവ സത്തെ ദൈവകരുണയുടെ നൊവേന നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നത്. “ഈ നൊവേന വഴി ചോദിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളും ഞാൻ ആത്മാ ക്കൾക്ക് പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യും" (ഡയറി : 796) എന്ന ഈശോയുടെ വാഗ്ദാനം ഈ നൊവേനയിൽ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ വ്യക്തി കൾക്കും അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നതായി അവരുടെ സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ തെളിയി ക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ വി. കുർബ്ബാനയ്ക്കുശേഷം ദൈവകരുണയുടെ നൊവേനയും, ശനിയാഴ്‌ച മൂന്നു കുർബ്ബാന കൾക്ക് ശേഷവും വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ച ഏഴ് വി. കുർബ്ബാനയോട്കൂടിയും ദൈവകരുണയുടെ നൊവേന നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
